Here's a card a made for a very special friend this week, i think more people should send happy mail - not just for the Hallmark holidays. I hope you like it!

For this card I used an American Crafts stamp set, patterned papers, hessian and Tim Holtz label letters. N x
Happy Saturday!

This weekend, i'm devoting my time to the boring things in life.. spring cleaning, washing and bill paying - so i thought i'd write a cheeky post to keep me sane!

Over the past few weeks, me and a few friends have decided to start looking into selling on Etsy, the plan is to sell digi's and a few cards. It's not really about the money, but a reason to motivate me to be create - like this blog!

About a month ago we attended a seminar about how it all works, we got so much helpful advice and met some lovely creative people! We are officially NEWBEE's! In terms of the shop, i've managed to secure a name, and from here it's all about research and the artwork.

Here's me, looking rather unattractive... I guess this is my 'thoughtful' face...

Last Thursday I attended the Etsy Manchester Supplies Swap - which was really good! I recently cleared out my craft stash when i revamped my craft space, so i didn't think i'd have much to swap - but boy was i wrong! I had bits of yarn, fabric and mainly card blanks etc. that were neither use nor ornament and i think they went down a storm!

Here are the bits and bobs that i managed to get my mitts on, I'm not entirely sure what to do with the fabric or feathers for that matter... i love a challenge!

I'm off to make a card with my lovely new Amy Tangerine paper stack! <3

Hello all,

I don't know about you, but i'm starting to see a recurring theme with this blog... LOVE!
I've got a lot to give :)

And with that in mind, here's my latest card-make for Simply Cards & Papercraft Issue 135 which goes on sale Thursday 26th March. This Spring offering is a combination of IndigoBlu's lovely Giant Peony stamp, white embossing powder and my new favourite - Spectrum Aqua Markers!

Being a girly... I often get carried away creating projects for all the ladies my life, or myself - it's not often that i sit down and make a card for a fella!

So, this evening i thought i'd go against the grain.

I present to you a simple Birthday boy card made with some of my favourite stamps from Amy Tangerine and Stampin' Up! I stuck to a simple colour scheme and used recycled cardboard for the card blank and sentiment banner. I'm loving the embossing powder + watercolour look...

There's no recipient for this card thus far... another one for the stash!

Hello all!

I'm sorry to say that it's been a rather taxing week... and it's scary to think that we are already well into the month of March!

So, I thought i'd spread the love with a little card make. Spring is upon us, and it's amazing how much more positive i feel with the sun shining though my craft room window!

This card is an eclectic mix of all the supplies i like to use - cardboard [recycled!], watercolours, fabric strips, twine and of course American Crafts dies!

I hope you like...

I really enjoyed my recent sewing project, and have seen a few tutorials for adapting clothing, so i'm hoping to hit the charity shops this weekend.

It's starting to look like Spring and i have been a busy bee!

I thought i'd mix it up and create a quick sewing project with the help a tutorial. I'm ashamed to say i have a short attention span when it comes to crafting, there are many unfinished projects in my expanding craft stash! This project is ideal for a craft-goldfish like me, as i had it finished in a couple of hours!

This tutorial caught my eye on Pinterest and i had a lovely time making my bag [despite the ironing...] I thoroughly recommend this project as it only takes a few fat quarters and it would make a fab gift for a loved one!

My choice of lovely fabrics and the finished bag! <3

I think i'll have to book a summer holiday just to make use of my new beach bag :)

What a lovely Sunday, spent perusing The Secret Vintage Wedding Fair in The Holden Art Gallery. Especially as it meant i got to see the gorgeous Dottydoo stand in all its splendour! Vicky is so talented - and this level of creativity and perfection comes naturally to her! *Grrr*

Which begs the question, why am i skulking about at wedding fairs? Well, I'm proud to say that I will be marrying my childhood sweetheart in 2016. This very recent announcement happened when I inherited my Nan's engagement ring and what could be more perfect or sentimental.

This is the perfect opportunity for me to flex my creative muscles, as i'm hoping to make as much as possible for the big day! Thus far i have a colour scheme, a potential venue and a date!

 I hope you like.
All ideas/advice welcome for the big day!

Evening all!

I'm very proud to say that I recently designed a selection of cards for kids for the much-anticipated Die-Cutting Essentials Vol 2! This issue is accompanied by a fabulous pair of flower embossing dies, watch this space for my makes using the free gift...

If you haven't got your copy yet, you can get it here! - www.moremags.com/bookazines/die-cutting-essentials2

When i first started cardmaking i was adamant that i wouldn't need a die-cutting machine. After weighing up my hatred of fussy cutting [combined with payday] i decided to buy a Big Shot and honestly i've never looked back. For those still undecided, i would say - go for it! Because it opens a new world of crafty possibilities! And Die-cutting Essentials is the perfect guide to see you through with all the latest die releases!

Here are a few of my projects for kids - i hope you like them! N x

It's Tuesday, and i'm feeling the love! <3

Here is my latest crafty offering, some more Clearly Besotted loveliness teamed with the Spectrum Aqua Markers!

I shall have to pull my socks up and make a Mother's Day card, a birthday card for my Brother and friend this week... wish me luck!

Dearest crafters,

I'm ashamed to say that my past week has been rather craft free! I got a chest infection a little over a week ago which has occupied much of my time! Alas time on the sofa does mean surfing the web for inspiration and...online shopping!

As soon as i saw the Spectrum Aqua range i knew i had to have a go, with that in mind i got my hands on the floral set. Aimes was kind enough to give me some white embossing powder, and i've been having a play with the two combined this weekend!

With the help of Clearly Besotted and IndigoBlu I went back to my roots and made quite a grungy card, and then went a bit more clean and simple! I hope you like.

Stay tuned for some more fabric-based craft goodies!
Until next time... x
