Thank goodness it's Friday!

And with that, I'd like to share a lovely little feature I contributed to Die-cutting Essentials issue 12, which focusses on using free paint swatches to make ombre-inspired cards!

I so enjoyed making these clean & simple cards, and have since made many more cards with different swatches and colourways. I'm becoming more adventurous with colour, the beauty of paint swatches is that the colour combinations to create an ombre-look are ready and free to take from local DIY shops!

This fab build-a-cake die is from My Mind's Eye and come with a banner die and a diamond ring - great for wedding, engagement and birthday cards!

This is my favourite, remember it's important to smile! :)

Hello!

And a happy bank holiday to one and all...

I've been experimenting with my fab Spectrum Aqua Watercolour Markers and white fine embossing powder. This little card was made with a lovely Kaisercraft stamp, i love their sentiments.

It was so easy to achieve this look. I embossed the sentiment onto watercolour card, scribbled the markers onto an acrylic block in bands and splashed on some water before transferring. The markers are so forgiving, they resist the embossed surface and any colour that seems to strong can be toned down or removed with water and some kitchen roll.

I can think of a few people that would like this card, i must try a mix of different colours and sentiments!

Hi all,

I want to share a brand-new card i made experimenting with stitching on cardstock, this crossover of crafts is something i love doing and should do more!

This fab idea came from my crafty partner in crime Betty, who has been experimenting with embroidering her own sentiments onto cardstock with different threads. Head over to her blog to see her inspiring makes... http://www.makeitbetty.com/

The main feature of the card was made using the Lil'inkers Polaroid die that i purchased recently. As the die is already stitched, it was easy to stitch with metallic thread. The adorable him & her image is from the Hey There Amy Tangerine stamp set, and the sentiment stamp is from Clearly Besotted. The patterned paper is from Fancy Pants Designs. I hope you like it! Hello all,

It's been another whirlwind weekend and I'm loving April thus far [not just because my birthday is rapidly approaching!]

I decided to get all sentimental today and make use of the fab new Lil' inkers Polaroid die I received in the week - i love crafty mail!

I had a root through some of my photographs, and found this beaut of me and David on a night out during Uni a few years ago... i'm surprised we look so sober! [I don't actually remember the night.]

I opted for a contemporary colour palette which i love - pink, gold and black. I think this die is perfect for scrapbook layouts too - I can't wait to use it again!

I hope you like it!

Happy Easter!

It's not looking too much like spring right now, but it's only a matter of time before the flowers are blooming! With that in mind, i thought i'd try and gather some inspiration for wedding flowers.
The ambition is to do my own and keep it simple and classy.

Here are some ideas i've seen on Pinterest [How did we cope before Pinterest!?]

Love this table layout! <3
